Bible Text: 2 Corinthians 12:1-10, Mark 6:1-13 |

In his ministry, Jesus ended up going to his home town of Nazareth. Unfortunately, it didn't turn out very well. Even though they recognized his power and wisdom, they rejected it, because they were too familiar with who they thought Jesus was, rather than who he showed himself to be. Paul experienced a similar problem with the church at Corinth when they became so proud of themselves that they thought they had no need of Paul and his ministry. What is it about humans that we become so proud that we end up breaking relationships in order just to be right about lesser things? Call it ego or sin, but either way, Jesus leads us to a better answer.
