Bible Text: Joshua 24:1-3, 14-25, Matthew 25:1-13 | Rev. David A. Douthett
Joshua finishes his work leading the Israelites as they prepare to settle in the Promised Land. So he warns them to put away their idols and serve the Lord alone. Jesus tells a parable about ten bridesmaids who are waiting for the bridegroom to arrive. Five of them get locked out of the party because they weren't ready. How ready are we for Christ's return? What idols draw our attention away from the Lord, where it belongs?
