Of Love and Anger

Our first scripture lesson today is one of the most familiar in the New Testament, 1 Corinthians 13, known as the Love Chapter. Most of us have heard it at weddings for years, even though it isn't really about romantic love. The second lesson is about Jesus preaching in his home town, which goes really, really badly! The two texts give us some fascinating contrasts to consider, not unlike what we are seeing day by day in our own time.
