Bible Text: John 20:19-31, Acts 5:27-41 | Rev. David A. Douthett
It's the Sunday after Easter, and the crowds have ebbed away. Why? As exciting and important as the Resurrection of Christ is, for many people there just isn't a connection between it and their own experience. Perhaps it is fitting that the gospel lesson every year on this week is John 20:19-31, the story of "Doubting Thomas." We're taking a look at what the Resurrection means, how that is different from what a lot of people hear from the Church, and how we might rethink our wider proclamation that Christ is risen!
