Series: Summer Road Trip Through Spiritual Practices
Our summer series keeps on rolling down the highway! There is a proverb that says, "If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together." This week's spiritual practice is spiritual direction and companionship. The life of discipleship is not easy, and it was not intended to be a solitary endeavor. While solitude is itself a vital spiritual practice modeled and encouraged by Jesus, equally vital and also modeled and encouraged by Jesus is the practice of partnership. Spiritual direction and spiritual companionship are intentional relationships with the purpose of spiritual growth. We'll explore the who, what, why, and what we might hope to gain from this important practice.
