Bible Text: Colossians 3:1-11, Matthew 28:1-10 |

Series:

This is Easter Sunday! The Lord is risen! He is risen indeed! We've made it through the forty days of Lent (how did your disciplines turn out?), and we've born witness to the crucifixion and burial of Christ on Good Friday (see the video of our service). Now we can celebrate and rejoice in the goodness of God and the power of Christ's resurrection from the dead! Through Lent we have considered Jesus' claim to be the Bread of Life and how he addresses our many hungers. We take it one step further today, looking at our hunger for new life, the very thing promised by his rising and sealed in us by the Holy Spirit in our baptism. While it may be what we long for most, it's not an easy path. Fortunately for us, Jesus leads the way.

We will also celebrate the sacrament of communion. If you would like to participate with us virtually, be sure to have a little bread and wine or juice (or the closest things you have on hand) available for that part of the service after the sermon.
