The weeks after Easter are known as Eastertide, and this year we will focus on interactions between the Risen Christ and the disciples to whom he revealed himself. In every instance, his presence brought restoration. We begin with the first disciple to see the resurrected Jesus, Mary Magdalene. She was in deep despair at the tomb, but Jesus chose her to be the first apostle and restored her to hope again.
