Fellowship HourHere are some suggestions for Fellowship Hour:Keep it simple! The idea is to provide a light snack, not lunch. Something salty, something sweet, and something to drink should suffice. Please make a pot of regular coffee and a pot of decaf following the instructions on the coffeemaker in the kitchen. You will find coffee and coffee filters on the counter near the coffeemaker. Please use water in the plastic jugs on the counter for coffee. Put hot tap water in two of the serving carafes before the worship service. Empty these and fill with hot coffee at the beginning of Fellowship Hour. Plastic pitchers for juice can be found in the cabinet above the stove. The punch bowl is in the lower cabinet below the microwave. Tablecloths are in the far left closet in the choir room. Please use the ivory-colored cloths as the white linen cloths are for the communion table. Cups for coffee and juice are in the cabinet above the microwave. Paper napkins and small paper or foam plates are in the cabinet to the right of the cups. Sugar, creamer and artificial sweeteners are in the upper cabinet to the left of the sink. It is helpful to get to church around 10:00 a.m. to set-up. For clean-up, please wash, dry and put away any of the church's items that you have used. Be sure to return tables to where you found them, dust mop the fellowship hall floor and damp mop any sticky spots. The tablecloths and any hand towels that are used need to be taken home and washed. Please return them before the next Sunday so they will be available to the next person hosting fellowship hour. Bag up the trash from the trash can in the fellowship hall and the trash can in the kitchen (the white trash bag from the fellowship hall usually fits inside the kitchen trash bag) and take it to the cans outside the side door. Replace trash bags with fresh ones found beneath the counter under the coffeemaker. It is easier (and more fun!) to do Fellowship Hour with a friend! The cost of fellowship hour can be reimbursed up to $50.00. Save your receipts and turn them in to the Care of Congregation elder.
