**{{We had some sound trouble this week at about 17:30 in the video, and we didn’t realize it. The volume gets really low at that point, so you’ll need to crank up your volume to hear what we got. But the volume comes back up at 47:20, so be ready to turn it down! Sorry for the inconvenience!}}**
Lent in the years when we read Luke’s gospel jumps around in Jesus’ timeline a bit, but the readings give us insight into Jesus’ preparation for his crucifixion and resurrection. Last week we read about his testing in the wilderness before he began his public ministry, and this week we jump to nearly the end of his public ministry. We (and he) get a clear warning that his activity is leading to trouble with the authorities, Herod Antipas in particular. Jesus seems unperturbed by this. His response and the psalm for the day may have lessons for us about how to deal with trouble.
