There’s an old joke that goes like this…

Q: What do you get when you cross a Presbyterian with a Jehovah’s Witness?
A: Someone who knocks at your door but doesn’t know what to say.

We believe that Presbyterians actually have a lot to say about their faith and can be excellent at extending the love, mercy, grace, and justice of Jesus Christ to those who need it. It’s just that many of us have never had the chance to come up with a strategy or develop the confidence to do it. And in these turbulent days we live in, the idea of talking about religion with others can be daunting.

That’s why we are offering Faith Sharing 101 for Reluctant Presbyterians, a four-week class with Pastor David on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. ET, May 28-June 18. The class is designed to introduce some basic ideas about how and why you — yes, YOU! — can share your faith in Jesus Christ with others around you. It looks like this:
  • May 28 – Know the Flow – How people come to faith
  • June 4 – Know Thyself – Your role in this drama
  • June 11 – Know Who You Are Up Against – Who needs it
  • June 18 – Know the Lord  – Trust your boss
We will be in person in the Fellowship Hall at church and on Zoom (bit.ly/cpczoommeetings), so whether you are an experienced faith-sharer or you are scared to death of the idea, we hope you will join us for this fun opportunity to learn more about God’s plan for growing the Church and the Kingdom.
