Christmas is supposed to be a joy time! It's full of music, lights, feasting, and togetherness, as a rule. Yet often the very things that make it feel like a celebration for most people can make it extremely difficult to bear for those who are grieving, struggling, or otherwise feeling overwhelmed. Celebrating can seem hollow when you're hurting. This service acknowledges the pain of loss, whether from death of a loved one, a year of pandemic and chaos, or any number of other losses, and offers the true hope of Christmas: God's loving presence in the world through Jesus Christ.
