Bible Text: Deuteronomy 10:12-22, 24:15-22, Psalm 137:1-6, Philippians 2:5-11 |

We are privileged to have one of our elders, Connie Moore, currently enrolled in seminary. She had a project due this week that included a sermon on migration, so she offered to preach it for us this week. That's what we're doing. Throughout the scriptures we find a wide variety of migrations, some voluntary, some forced, some due to circumstance, some due to a call from God. We who are generally settled in the dominant culture of our country don't think about migration that much. Even when we have to move, we don't think of it in terms of migration, but it is! It changes the way we hear the stories in the Bible to pay attention to those movements, and it changes the way we think about our world. What does God think about all this moving around?
