Bible Text: Leviticus 25:1-7, 18-23 and Mark 12:1-12 |

Pastor David is back from vacation and is looking forward to bringing a word to the flock. This week, the 4th Sunday of Easter, is traditionally called "Good Shepherd Sunday," focusing on Christ's teaching in John 10 about being, well, you know, the Good Shepherd. Monday, April 22, is Earth Day, so that makes this "Earth Day Sunday," too. It seems like caring for the flock and caring for the earth might work together, both theologically and practically, but we're going to lean into the Earth Day side a little more. The scripture lessons will be about the commandment to have a sabbatical year every seventh year when the land gets to rest, and a parable Jesus told about tenants in a vineyard who didn't keep up their end of the bargain very well. Join us to find out how we're doing at caring for God's good earth (SPOILER: It's not looking good.).
