On any road trip vacation, there are places where you want to stop to see everything, but there just isn't enough time. So you try to get an overview or a representative sample and hope you can spend more time on the details in the future. That's where we are this week. We are going to cover 7/9 of the New Testament in one shot: the Epistles. These are the 21 letters that make up the majority of the Christian scriptures, authored by various apostles and/or their disciples. Unfortunately, like stopping at the Grand Canyon when you only have 20 minutes, we won't be digging into the details of any of the epistles this time, but we should get a sense of their unforgettable scope and grandeur.
