Bible Text: Romans 5:1-11, Genesis 18:1-15, 21:1-7 | Rev. David A. Douthett
Waiting is one skill that seems to be a requirement for those who put their faith in the Lord. In our service we hear some of the story of Sarah and Abraham, who had grown old waiting for God to fulfill the promise of a child. But as the Apostle Paul wrote in Romans, suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope that does not disappoint us. God does hear our pleas and does not forget us. So now, let us also listen to those who have been crying to be heard for a long, long time.
