Bible Text: Isaiah 42:1-9, 1 Corinthians 1:1-9 |

As we open the new year, lots of people are rethinking their habits and practices with resolutions to do good and to be better. We do not want you to be uninformed about an important part of human experience and potential: service! We will take a brief look at one of the Servant Songs in Isaiah and the start of Paul's first letter to the Corinthians for a few clues. Then we'll celebrate service in the church with the installation of two elders for the new term of the session, and celebrate one elder who is retiring therefrom.

To cap things off, we will celebrate the Lord's Supper, the proclamation and participation in Jesus Christ's service of death and resurrection for all people. To join us virtually for communion, you'll need some bread and juice or wine (or the closest things you can find) for each person participating. Then just follow along with us. When we pray, you pray. When we eat, you eat. When we drink, you drink. And may the Lord be with you!
