The reign of Christ is the embodiment of the heart and mind of Christ expressed in right relationships with God, with self, and with others. This includes a high dose of truth, which is often lacking from ordinary sin-soaked lives. The Book of Order (PCUSA) says that truth is in order (that is, is proportional) to goodness: the more truth, the more goodness, and vice versa. When Jesus told Pilate he had come into the world to bear witness to the truth, Pilate asked, "What is truth?" Let's take a little time to consider that question and its relationship to our lives with Christ and one another.
