We find ourselves in an accidental sermon series after Jesus' teaching that his disciples must deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow him, which we read a couple weeks ago in worship. Last week we considered his call in Matthew 18 to seek reconciliation with those who have sinned against us. If sin is breaking relationships, then reconciliation must be its opposite. So this week we continue in Matthew 18 to Jesus' teaching on forgiveness and unforgiveness. Can you guess which one he favors? Yep. Forgiveness, here we come.
